New gas developments

Bringing a cross-border gas development to production

Where: Dutch and German North Sea
Asset: GEMS, N05-A platform
Phase: Discovery to production

Matured the GEMS gas developments from discovery through investment decision and execution. The N05-A platform runs on wind power and came on-stream at the start of 2025, drilled by a converted, wind-powered rig. The work combined subsurface and development studies, permitting under Dutch and German mining, environmental and shipping rules, and alignment of joint-venture partners.

Energy transition

Building a stake in offshore CO₂ storage

Where: Dutch North Sea
Project: Aramis CCS
Role: Steering committee

Managed a partner interest in the Aramis CCS project and its Shell-operated offshore CO₂ stores, and helped shape and roll out a company CCS strategy.

Set up and owns a company-wide project maturation process, and helps project managers apply it. Provides independent assurance on subsurface, development and project management before key decisions.

Assets: JDA, WGT pipeline, F3FB
Operators: NAM, Wintershall Dea, Eni

Represented a partner’s interests in fields and pipeline infrastructure operated by others: evaluating proposals, challenging plans and keeping the commercial and technical case in view.

Mature fields

Extending the life of mature North Sea oil fields

Where: Danish North Sea
Fields: Dan, Kraka, Regnar, Gorm, Skjold, Rolf
Scale: 7 fields, ~75,000 stb/d

Led integrated well and reservoir management teams for the Dan and Gorm hubs: infill and extended-reach wells, workovers, waterflood management and 4D seismic, turning performance data into production optimisation projects.

Field development planning

Shaping the next phase of a giant offshore field

Where: Offshore Qatar
Field: Al Shaheen
Phase: Select and Pre-FEED

Led the development team that framed and compared concepts for the next phase of the Al Shaheen field, integrating forecasts, scenarios and conceptual design into a recommended way forward.
